Committee

Meet the 2014/15 Committee..

President - Kimberley Bond

Name: Kimberley Bond

Year: 3rd

Subject: English Literature

Position: President

Hi, I’m Kim and this is my second year as the President of the Fashion Society. I love all types of fashion from high fashion to high street and spend far too much time (and money) on eBay searching for bargains. My favourite fashion trend for Spring/Summer 2014 are pastel colours that have been seen at Moschino, and am currently on the search for the perfect lilac dress!

Vice President - Isabella Kisielowska

Name: Isabella Kisielowska

Year: 2nd of MA
Subject: International Law, Security and Terrorism
Position: Vice President

I'm currently going into my second year of my MA doing International Law, Security and Terrorism. My fashion style is inspired by the Classic Audrey era with a love of big necklaces and a signature bag. But mostly around campus you'll see me in skinny jeans and a printed top x

Treasurer - Bettina Chow

Name: Bettina Chow
Year: 2nd
Studying: Management
Position: Treasurer

Hi everyone, I'm honoured to be elected as the Treasurer of Fashion Society for the year 2014-2015. Apart from European and American fashion, I also keep an eye on the new trends in Asia, such as Korea and Japan. My favourite looks tend to be neat and simple styles. I believe that expensive brand names are not the only way to look great, but an appropriate mix with some lower priced items can also be eye-catching. I'm looking forward to meeting more fashionistas through a range of activities arranged by the committee this year.

Social Secretary - Anna Loftus

Name: Anna Loftus
Year: 3rd
Studying: Psychology
Position: Social secretary

Hi, I’m Anna and this is my first time on the Fashion Society committee. My favourite fashion styles are alternative and vintage and I'll take any opportunity to explore vintage markets or travel down to Camden. I believe fashion should be fun for every size shape and gender and that experimentation is key to keeping your style unique to you. I'm very much looking forward to running some fun socials this year and I'll see you all in September.

Secretary - Anisa Newport

Name: Anisa Newport

Year: 3rd

Studying: Human Genetics
Position: Secretary

Hey guys, I’m Anisa and I’m your secretary for this year! I love high street fashion and my personal style tends to be quite simple. I like block colours and usually pick darker pieces to wear, with a stand out handbag to brighten up the look. Alternative grunge fashion is also a style that definitely appeals to me. I’m usually never seen without my bright pink satchel and own probably far too many pairs of boots. I really look forward to meeting you all in September and throughout the coming year!

PR Representative - Jessica Turton

Name: Jessica Turton
Year: 3rd
Studying: Human Genetics
Position: PR Rep

Hello everyone! I'm Jess and this year I'm Fashion Soc's PR Rep. That means I'm in charge of most of the social media, such as Twitter and Instagram, and most importantly the Fashion at Nottingham blog. My style is constantly changing, and although I love to keep an eye on new trends in magazines (Look is my favourite!) and fashion blogs, I usually will wear items that are of my own personal style. At the moment I'm loving the grungy 90's girl trend - chokers and all! - and my favourite pieces this summer have been the trusty kimonos. I have one in black and one in white, and they've been great for finishing off a normally boring outfit. Hope you enjoy reading the blog, and see you at the socials!

Brand and Marketing Executive - Chantal Purser

Name: Chantal Purser

Year: 3rd
Subject: Finance, Accounting and Management
Position: Brand and Marketing Exec

Hi, I’m Chantal and this is my first year on the Fashion Society Committee. I am mostly interested with high street fashion and so being a student I am always searching through the sales to find the best deal. I also love keeping up to date with the latest fashion news with my favourite magazine being Elle. My favourite trend at the moment is the tropical prints, giving you the idea that you aren’t surrounding by the usually horrible English weather!
